Connecting Worlds is an educational proposal which combines classroom activities with collaborative online work among participating students. Over 16,000 students from different countries participate in Connecting Worlds.
What are our physical and symbolic borders? What factors force us to leave our homes and live far from our countries? Can everyone travel freely? What does this depend on? How do we treat people whose cultures differ from ours?
Everyone has the right to move around the world - something that human beings have done since the beginning of time. From time immemorial, thousands of people every day decide to embark on a journey to explore new places, searching for better jobs, new opportunities, etc. Many others do so fleeing from conflicts or situations which put at serious risk their lives and those of their loved ones.
Through participatory activities and collaborative working teams, in this year’s Connecting Worlds we will reflect on these issues in a critical manner with the aim of changing attitudes and carrying out activities which help change the unfair situations taking place as a result of migration.
