Seeds for a fairer world
Hunger affects more than a thousand million people around the world, and most of them live in developing countries. Today, hunger continues being an unsolved problem which is not due to lack of food, but to a terribly unfair food system and food production system that over-exploits and destroys the natural resources we depend on.
In this year's Connecting Worlds we will reflect on food injustice through our educational proposals, joining the global movement that fights against this situation.
Within the framework of Oxfam's CRECE campaign we will carry out actions in different countries around the world aimed at putting pressure on governments to change the policies which lead to situations of injustice, and urging them to get involved in the promotion of a global food system which guarantees both the conservation and a more equitable distribution of the resources.

The objectives we aim to achieve in this Connecting Worlds edition are:
-
Recognise how injustice and inequality affect the world at a food level, fostering reflection, awareness and a feeling of outrage at the lack of a basic right: the right to food.
-
Analyse the origins of this injustice to better understand the major causes of hunger and food inequality in the world.
-
Reflect about the alternatives and possible solutions to food injustice to promote attitudes and actions for change which contribute to alleviate this situation.
